The Macon Police Department conducted an Undercover Prostitution Detail. Five arrests were made for various misdemeanor crimes.

Arrested/Charges
Amanda Allan Hulsey of Macon (female) – 19 years-old, 1^st Bibb County arrest – Prostitution, in jail

Billy Reno Phillips, Jr. of Vidalia, GA (male) – 24 years-old, 1^st Bibb County arrest – Prostitution, in jail

Ayanna Vitray Hicks of Macon (female) – 19 years-old, 4^th Bibb County arrest – Prostitution, Bribery, Hindering and Interference, in jail

Detrele Tavaracus Ingram of Macon (male) – 31 years-old, 4^th Bibb County arrest – Obstruction (Misdemeanor), Prostitution – released from jail

Helvis Watts, Jr. of Macon (male) – 27 years-old, 10^th Bibb County arrest – Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor), Probation Violation – Superior Court, Contempt of Court – City, in jail

A Macon police officer stopped 30 year-old Markus Allen Bryant of Atlanta for failure to maintain lane on I-75 South, before the I-16 split. During the stop approximately one pound of marijuana, valued at $1,500 was discovered, along with $920 in cash. The marijuana, contained in a large clear plastic bag, was found under the rear passenger seat.

Bryant was transported to the Bibb LEC charged with Failure to Maintain Lane and Marijuana Possession with Intent to Distribute. He remains in jail at this time.

According to CID Major Charles Stone: “Time and again we see our officers doing dangerous and heroic work on our highways. Excellent job by a tenacious officer.”

While on patrol in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive a Precinct 3 officer heard loud banging from the back of the buildings and observed two suspects on the side of Pier 97. The suspects saw the officer and immediately fled.

As the officer gave chase a third suspect appeared and was apprehended. A lookout was given and another Precinct 3 officer on patrol apprehended the other two suspects on Victoria Circle.

An investigation of the buildings on Riverside Drive revealed damage to the windows of both buildings and to parked cars. A baseball bat was recovered at the scene.

Suspects:

1. Black male juvenile – age 16
2. Joseph John-Leon Crowder – 19 year-old white male – charged with Criminal Damage to Property – Felony (2 counts)
3. Walter Warren – 20 year-old black male – charged with Criminal Damage to Property – Felony (2 counts)

The two adult suspects were transported to the Bibb LEC. The juvenile was released to his mother but faces a future court date.

The Macon Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person seen in this photo. This individual fraudulently used a financial transaction card to make an unauthorized purchase at the Target store at 4685 Presidential Parkway. Please contact Investigator Powell (803-2563) or Crimestoppers (1-877-68-CRIME) with information on the whereabouts or identity of the individual in the photograph.

•         M12045965 Aggravated Assault @ 1140 Schley St.

Walker is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

To preserve the integrity of these investigations no further information will be released at this time.

This was a TEAM effort that made the streets and neighborhoods in Bibb/Macon safer places this past weekend. The focus was mainly on traffic.

HIGHLIGHTS

1. Bibb SO – 3 wanted persons apprehended for Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin in Florida, all 3 identified by using the GA Pardons and Parole live scan finger print system.

2. Bibb SO – from an operation on Emery Highway 151 crack rocks, 22 baggies of power cocaine, and 5.5 oz’s of Marijuana.

3. GSP- Four of the citations in the Other Traffic category were Child Endangerment citations, and one was for Felony with a Vehicle.  The female driver was HV, refused the state administered test, but registered positive on the Alco-Sensor.  She also was one of the child endangerment charges.  i.e., an unrestrained 2 year-old.

4. From an operation on Cedar Avenue Macon PD confiscated 40- Bags of Cocaine, 4 bags of Marijuana, 2 guns, Marijuana plants, and arrested one person who was on parole for Murder and had outstanding warrants from Ohio.
